Does SWLT have homes available in my area?
SWLT has a process to find compatible senior women to share housing - we do not provide housing. We occasionally have homeowners or landlords who want to rent to our homemate groups and if we know of a group that has created a homemate agreement, we can introduce them to owners. We will sometimes post an available home in the Region channel in Zulip.
What technology equipment or knowledge do I need to participate?
We try to keep things as easy as possible, both for our subscribers and the volunteers who help us manage things. You do need an email address and some kind of web access (phone, tablet or computer). This website is built to be responsive (will work with any browser and screen size) and our chat system (where we can message and do audio and video meetings) can be used in a browser or it's own app. We've created some how-to documentation, and are continuously updating to make things better.
